I had the honor of being a guest on BS Japan chanel 7 hosted by the famous actor Katsunori Takahashi. We had a fun and engaging conversation about my art and passion.

In 2018, I had the opportunity to showcase my artistic vision and talent in a solo exhibition about shichigosan, a Japanese cultural event that celebrates the growth and well-being of young children. Shichigosan, which literally means “seven-five-three”, is observed on November 15 every year, when parents take their three- and seven-year-old girls and five-year-old boys to shrines or temples to pray for their health and happiness. The children wear traditional kimonos, often for the first time, and receive special blessings and gifts. My exhibition featured a series of hyper-realistic portraits of children dressed in colorful and elaborate kimonos, capturing their expressions and personalities. I used pastel-colored pencils to create a soft and delicate effect, highlighting the innocence and beauty of the children. I wanted to convey the joy and wonder of childhood, as well as the respect and gratitude for the traditions and values of Japan. The exhibition was well-received by the public and the critics, who praised my skill and creativity. Many people were amazed by the realism and detail of my portraits, as well as the emotion and story behind each one. Some people even mistook them for photographs at first glance. I was honored and humbled by the positive feedback and support I received from the audience. I was also glad to share my passion and knowledge about shichigosan, a fascinating and meaningful event that reflects the essence of Japanese culture.
